Geometry provides students with experiences that deepen
the understanding of two and three-dimensional objects and their properties.

The course develops a structured mathematical system employing both deductive and
inductive reasoning. Emphasis is placed upon reasoning and problem solving skills
gained through study of similarity, areas, volumes, circles, and coodinate geometry.

Student communication of problem-solving skills and their ability to develop a sense of
responsibility for their own learning are integral parts of this course.
