![]() Welcome to Miss Dowler’s 11th grade English class! This year we study American literature; we begin with Puritan literature & move chronologically up through the present. This class is different from many conventional American Literature classes in that you will not simply focus on the “classic” perspective. In addition to the traditional literature, you will read literature that includes a variety of perspectives. Hopefully by the end of the year, you will understand the different foundations, genres, and movements in our country’s literary history.
