Course Description |
This course is the second in the series of specialized courses developed for the BioScience Academy here at Foothill. This course, which partners with Physiology, will be focusing on applying the physiological concepts and processes to real life skills and procedures. Students will be learning the background of and skills needed to correctly perform many patient care and clinical lab skills commonly used in a health care facility. Students will also be completing an extensive study of medical terminology in order to acquire the language necessary to communicate successfully in a professional setting. The goal of the course is for students to be able to achieve numerous competencies of basic skills and to be able to utilize their knowledge and skills to correctly determine what should be done in various health care situations. |
