EVALUATION RUBRIC

Your project will be graded on how well written are your cover and follow up letters, and especially on the quality of your resume:

A+ (50), A (48), A- (46) - This is an excellent project that has all the necessary components and stands out above the rest.  The cover and follow up letters are flawless: they are short, sweet, and to the point.  The resume is highly professional and portrays the applicant in the best light possible.  The whole page is filled with qualifications, talents, and biographical information.  Just looking at the resume inspires confidence and an air of competence!  Bullets and fonts are fluent and standard.  Resume is uniform and lays out nicely.

B+ (44), B (42), B- (41) - This is a solid, above average project that has all the necessary components.  Cover and follow up letters get the message across, but do not spark any particular interest in the reader.  Resume is complete but does not stand out from all the rest.  There are large empty white spaces on the page where there should be information; this leads to an incomplete appearance that reflects poorly on applicant.  Fonts and/or margins and bullets are not uniform throughout the resume.

C+ (39), C (37), C- (36) - This is a project whose letters and resume are satisfactory, and has all the necessary components.  However, the resume lacks any charm or sophistication.  The cover and follow up letters are short and contain errors.

D (32) - This is a project that is missing necessary components, or has a below average explanations.  Resume less than a page and looks messy.  Cover and follow up letters sloppy with mistakes.

F (25) - This is a completed project which has just been "thrown together."  Resume a mess.  Minimal effort.  Cover and follow up letters a mess.

F- (0) - This is a project that was not completed or not turned in.  Resume and letters not completed or presented.
