Assignment:  Informational Brochure.
Brief Description:  You are going to create a brochure marketing a product using MS Word 2000.  Your brochure should contain the following:

  • Make sure to have margins like this and "Landscape" orientation in the "Page Setup." 
  • Three columns at approximately 2.64" with 1" spacing between columns.  (Click here to see example.)
  • Should be approximately 2 pages when printed out.  (Click here to download an example.)  
  • Phone number, website address, mailing address, etc.  Accept credit cards or not.
  • Professional, attractive appearance.
  • First page should be cover of brochure, while second page should have the majority of information about your product.  (Examples of first [example 1, example 2] and second [example 1. example 2] pages.)
  • Also use different styles of text (italics, bold, sizes, fonts, etc.) and shading to highlight the most important concepts.
  • Use various text boxes and shadings, etc.
  • Have at least one customer testimony.
  • Make liberal use of bullets.
  • Have almost all the areas of the brochure completely covered with print and/or graphics.

Your brochure must give a complete product description and must explain to a possible consumer why they would benefit from it.  All grammar and spelling must be perfect, and the overall appearance of your brochure must be informative, professional, and attractive. 

Make sure you answer the following questions in your brochure: What does your product do?  Why should anyone buy it?  Why is your product better than any produced by the competition?  How can customers go about buying it?  How do you make it easy for customers to do business with you?

You must complete the assignment, print out a copy, and be ready to present it to the class on a date that will be announced later.
