"Poem For English 7B"

Is it really that easy?

I am 12, on my way to being a man.
I have a good life so I don't need to collect cans.
I was born in Seattle, Washington,
And my favorite president isn't George Washington.
I go to Milken Community High School,
Although I am always caught breaking every rule.
My house is sitting in the city of Encino,
And I like to speak the language of Latino.
Here I am lying on the floor writing this poem.

I don't think many people like me,
But if they look deep down inside they will see
That I am not a trouble maker or jock
But someone who likes to:
Cook, sing, draw, write, listen to music, rest, think and every other
Thing that you would never think of when you look at a person like
Me
So next time you see me,
Don't judge what you see.
