"Theme for English 7B"

Mr. Geib said,

Go home and write
A poem to tonight
Let the words just flow
Onto the page
Your verse will be all the rage
And everyone will see how well it is made

Poetry is something important to be taught,
Even more important than for new lands to be sought.
To many people, poetry is a Universal Language, a way to speak out, 
No matter where you are, there is no doubt.
It helps people communicate like no other way,
It's the language of life every single day.
They got out hate, anger, and also love,
Poems can be about anything, such as cars, potatoes and doves.

Like mine, 
Some rhyme,
But they don't have to all the time.
William Shakespeare wrote a different kind of poem dog-gone it,
They were called sonnets.
Poets are great, from around the world they flow,
One of the greats include Edgar Allen Poe.
Like Mr. Geib said the words will flow.
And I hope you liked my poem, now I will go.
