"Off in the Distance"

Off in the distance is a towering castle,
Inside there is a celebration,
The celebration of our new leader,
I am filled with hope for peace.

Out of nowhere dark clouds appear,
Hovering over the small village yonder,
I can feel the delicate water,
Lightly touching my skin and streaming down,
Making rivers all over my body.

Under me is the soft grass,
The colors of green and yellow.
It smells of the forest,
The forest I left a long time ago.

I smell the delicacies that are being served in the palace,
And I hear the laughter of the joyful people,
In the castle placed on the prominent hills.
The rain smells of the perfumes from foreign lands,
Lands I yearn to journey to.

Around me are the greenery and the bushes,
They are rustling from the restless animals that inhabit them.
The powerful hawk soaring above me in his majesty and awe,
He is seeking for his pray;
I can smell the fear of the animals because of his watchful eye.

Suddenly I feel a cool breeze caressing me skin,
I can hear it's powerful message:
It is time for you to go home,
To wonder about what the next day will bring you,
It is time to close your eyes to sleep,
It is time to close your eyes and dream.
