My
Perception of Being Born
Me,
a fetus, warm and content awaiting my arrival to the world
Warm fluids surround me,
Interveiniously fed in my cozy room, which is my mother's womb
Suddenly,
the only world I have known has gone
Arriving out of the floodgates of my mothers womb;
My vision was distorted
I hear screaming in the background
Slap!
A strange man hit me, I began to cry.
Air filled my lungs and I screamed
All of these things surrounded me I have never seen.
My whole life of darkness and now light.
This
world was strange to me
They brought me to someone
This must be my mother
Wrapped in a warm blanket in my mothers arms, I am again content
