"My Bar Mitzvah"

My Bar Mitzvah was a very important day,
My friends and family are screaming hooray.
My service was at VBS,
Along with my party which was not a mess
Rabbi Feinstein helped out,
We had chicken and fries, but no trout
It was the happiest day of my life,
Along with my father, and his wife.
I was in the main sanctuary,
Chanting and chanting, very nerve wracking and scary.

My party was a lot of fun,
Sadly it is now done.
I was wearing a shirt with a banded collar,
I looked like a million dollars.
There was a DJ whose name was Dan
A bar tender who served Heineken.
At one o'clock I went home,
Knowing soon I'd have to learn about Rome.
I'll remember it for the rest of my life,
Even when I have a wife.
