The minutes slowly dripping
by....
All the while I think of him
I stare at the clock
I flip through the channels of my television
Nothing is on my dust eaten television
So then, I
drastically clean my room
Cluttered with clothes swarming like bees all over
I conquer the bees but go on to the dusting
Dust swallows my television, my stereo, and even my speakers
I begin to
tire but still I go on
All the while I think of him
Anything to pass the time
I collapse
on my bed and look at the time
Still so much longer to go
I close my eyes and begin to dream
All the while I think of him
Us floating together along the clouds
Then we sink slowly down to the beach
We walk along the sandy path
Love dancing in our eyes
True bliss fills my body
I awake
A loud cry
springs from my mouth
I moan again in sadness over the departure of my pure happiness
I close my eyes tightly
Wrapping my blankets around my body
A creak at
the door
Could it be?
I slowly open my eyes
An uncontrollable grin covers my face
I hug him tight and he asks
“Did you miss me?”
and I slowly answered
all the while I thought of you. |
