"1984" CHECKLIST

• MINISTRY OF LOVE MANUAL OF MENTAL HEALTH... or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Came to Love Big Brother; Chapter One: The Curing Process (one graphic; five paragraphs: "learning, understanding, acceptance" [pg. 285]) [example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example, example].
  • In the above assignment, you will take the point of view of a veteran Thought Police Officer who is writing the "how to guide" for teaching novices how to "cure" thought criminals. Use O'Brien's "curing" of Winston as your model.
