FOOTHILL’S
PARENT FACULTY STUDENT ORGANIZATION
PFSO
is Foothill’s Parent, Faculty, Student
Organization. PFSO’s mission is to support
Foothill’s students and staff through fundraising
as well as active participation. We welcome your
involvement and appreciate your support!
We hope you will volunteer your time, and support
our fundraising efforts as we all work together
to make Foothill the best that it can possibly
be.
We will
have two major fundraisers in 2007-08. You’ll be receiving information in the mail
requesting a donation to our technology fund, which
is used to purchase supplies, hardware and software
to keep our computers working and up to date. We
can’t be Foothill Technology High School
without your support of this crucial fund!
Our
annual silent auction and dinner, “Starry,
Starry Night”,
will be held at Saticoy Country Club in the spring.
We’ll be hosting it in
partnership with ASB, and raising money for student
programs, curriculum, and classroom supplies. This
replaces our traditional “Bytes and Chips” event.
It will be a fun evening and we hope to see you
there. To
donate auction items, or volunteer to
help, contact Robin Weber grweberfamily@sbcglobal.net.
In addition
to our major fundraisers, please support PFSO
through membership, Dining with Dragons, and
the many available “Preferred Shopper” programs
described below. And, if you’d like to volunteer
your time, be sure to fill out PFSO’s volunteer
form (included in the summer mailing) or send an
email to fths@roadrunner.com. We always need volunteers!

Expenditures
Did you know that PFSO has funds
available for supplies, equipment, conferences, etc?
Funding decisions are made by the PFSO Expenditures
Committee, which meets once a month (except in
December).
Expenditure requests may be submitted by e-mail
or on paper (e-mail is preferred as the request
can be expedited to members of the committee).
Please use the forms available below (you may copy
and fill-out electronically) and attach any relevant
documentation (such as pictures from catalogs,
printouts from the web, or simply provide web address
for review, if appropriate). Requests must be received
by the deadlines listed below, or they will not
be considered until the following meeting.
E-mail forms to: leslie@calgard.com or, if submitting
your request on paper, please send an email that
a request is in the PFSO mailbox, addressed to
Leslie Barnes c/o Expenditure Committee.
By the end of the school day on the Friday before
the meeting, you will be sent an agenda so you
can make sure your application was received. You
or a representative should attend the meeting,
where your application will be discussed so that
you can answer any questions the committee might
have. If you are unable to attend, a decision on
your request may be delayed until the following
meeting.
