Agenda

Technology! The word can inspire fear in some and glee in others; whoever you are, technology is an integral part of your life.

This class integrates the learning and consistent application of a wide variety of computer and communication skills with other disciplines, such as P.E., biology, health, algebra, and English.

The Key to Success in Education in the Digital Age:

1.Do your work. Do it in a timely manner, and do it to the best of your ability.

2. Read each assignment thoroughly. Again--read each assignment thoroughly.

3. If you have questions, don't be shy--ask in class! Of course you will ask questions only after I have given directions and explained a concept.

4. If you think that you need extra help, please be certain to ask for a FIRE pass before you start to feel overwhelmed--you will feel more confident and less stressed if you get help early on!

5. All assignments are posted on the net. Please check the agenda for your work and please be sure to get a FIRE pass from me if you have been absent or, again,if you need help. Late work is not accepted except in the case of illness or family emergency.

Materials needed: A section in your notebook for EDA handouts

IMPORTANT: ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A ZIP DISK OR FLOPPY DISK OR FLASH/MEMORY STICK FOR WORKING AT SCHOOL. Please mark your devices with your name and the name of your EDAteacher, and make sure that device has some kind of cover--a zip-type sandwich bag is a good bet. Avoid technological disasters!

It is critical that you back up your work on your student file and on your device; emailing work home is especially important for those of you who do not have disk drives, but you MUST ASK FOR PERMISSION to use email in order to avoid an Acceptable Use Policy violation.
