| Each student has five assignments to work on. The order
they are turned in does not matter, but one assignment must be turned in
for each date. The options are:
Macro, three photographs. Choice between self-portrait using Photoshop or Juxtaposition, (three sets of two images). Music slideshow using iMovie on the Mac. This assignment is the same as the last music slideshow, but PowerPoint will not be used and the improvement in quality should be evident. Motion:Emotion. The name says it all. Experiment with moving the camera, photographing moving objects or both to create emotion with the use of motion. This is harder than it may seem on the surface, experiment over and over and give yourself plenty of time. Otherwise the images will look forced. Painting with light. Using long shutter exposures and a flashlight, each student will paint light on a model, moving or still to attempt to create an interesting image. Like the Motion:Emotion assignment, each student needs to set aside plenty of time to experiment. There will be a lot images that are not usable, so try over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over until it is perfect;) Ventura College. We will be invading the Ventura College campus on Tuesday,
February 8th. Each student needs to be prepared to explore the campus
and look for interesting things to photograph; people, plants, close-ups,
motion, etc. Students will be graded on their use of time. If student
are productive and prepared to take pictures, they will earn 50 points. |
