I was born in the city of Corona, CA on January 3, 1979.

I went to Lincoln Alternative Elementary School through fourth grade. Lincoln is a magnet elementary school in Corona.

In 1989, my family and I moved to Victorville, CA, where I attended Liberty Elementary School.

In 1991, I went to junior high at Victor Junior High School where I was a Valiant.
But then I when to high school at Victor Valley High School, where our mascot was a jackrabbit. A big scary jackrabbit. You can laugh if you want, but I liked my school. The population of my school was about 3500 students with a graduation class of over 600. It took a long time to read off all the names at graduation. As a student, I joined ASB, was an editor for our school newspaper, Jackrabbit Journal, and took various honors and AP courses. I also got a job as a junior as a peer tutor in our math lab. This is where I decided I would like to become a math teacher. I graduated from Victor Valley High School in 1997.

I then attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Our mascot was the mustang, which was a little better. I majored in mathematics while leading workshops in calculus my last year as an undergraduate. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in 2001. Following my graduation, I did not feel ready to enter the "real world," so I decided to continue with my master's degree in math. Concurrently, I taught courses in precalculus and intermediate algebra. This is where I knew that I would much prefer teaching high school rather than college. I went on to get my preliminary credential from Cal Poly and was hooded in June of 2003.

Now, I am at Foothill Technology High School. Home of the DRAGONS!
