EPOCHS OF HUMAN COMMUNICATIONS

Questions to Keep in Mind:  What is the history of communications?  What have we learned from it?  What mistakes have we made?  What will happen in the future?   When and how did human beings begin to communicate?  How did society change when humans learned how to record language with written symbols?  How have technologies such as the printing press affected our ability to communicate?  How did the Gutenberg Press change politics and religion in Europe?  How did people communicate without telephones?  How did the rise of mass communications change the way we live, work, and communicate?  How did the development and mass use of the radio and television change society?  Why was the Internet first created?  How was it different than communications by phone or telegraph?  Where will we go in the future?
