EVALUATION RUBRIC
You will be graded on how well you write and deliver your speech, as well as for the amount of history you bring as support from the past for your convictions about America today and tomorrow.
Remember your paper should address:
What is your vision for the United States of America as you move into adult life and civic participation? What values, ideas, and priorities do you wish to see addressed? What Americans have annunciated this message in the past? How can I use the American past to bolster my vision of the American future?
and it could go on to conclude --
What concrete policies might make this vision come to fruition? How might I help bring that to pass?
Much of your final grade will depend on how well you answer such questions.
Remember: You need specific details from the past, not vague generalizations!
